It’s my great honor to take part in the short-term academic exchange program and stand on this prestigious platform to improve myself. After this journey of study, I want to have a summary of my feelings:

Initially I took part in the program in order to learn from the world-top university about how to learn philosophy and broaden my horizon, at the same time I want to improve my ability of academic communication and writing in English. So, before the lectures started, I had read the materials in detail then written my extracts and thoughts. Due to my lack of spoken English, I sticked to practice my spoken English as soon as I determined to take part in the program. And I accumulated academic English vocabulary in related fields. During the lectures, the professor was talking so interestingly and deeply that I was attracted by the lectures so much. The professor guided us in detail and gave us many meaningful suggestions, and we learn a lot during this journey.

After this program, I think my goals have achieved on the whole. I learn many modes of thinking from the professor and my schoolmates, which broaden my horizon of academic thinking. At the same time, I get to know my faults of logic thinking and argument. I found my insufficient of knowledge reserve and I clear what should I do in the next period of study. Besides, after this journey, I have more confidence to face the following challenges.

However, during the study, I had also faced many problems, such as the lectures were arranged so densely that we have very limited time to review and preview. And we are unfamiliar with many expressions of academic terms that we cannot express our feeling fluently. So, I want to give a suggestion to the college that we may learn the philosophy professional foreign language as early as possible.

Finally, I will give my sincerest gratefulness to Jilin University School of Philosophy and Sociology for giving me the chance and to the professor Christian Keime from Cambridge for his meticulous guidance to us. I’ll cherish this journey for long.
