Biography

Male,born in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province in 1956. Doctor, He works at the School of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Jilin University as a professor of the Department of Psychology and PhD supervisor. At the same time, he is also an expert who gets special allowances from the State Council.

1978-1982: Bachelor degree in Jilin University, China.

1982-1985: Master’s degree in Jilin University, China.

1991-1992: Master’s degree from WARWICK University in the United Kingdom from (a scholarship from the British Ministry of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs).  1996: PhD degree in Jilin University, China.

1975-1978: A worker of the Regional Electricity Bureau, managing electrical power departments in 2 cities and 6 counties.What’s more, he also works as the officer of the Propaganda Bureau, secretary of the Communist Youth League of the Bureau.

1985: He started to work in Jilin University.

1985-1987: At the first stage, he was an assistant professor.

1987-1992: A lectureship.

1992-1996: He was promoted to associate professor and exceptionally promoted to Professor in 1996.

1991-1992: A visiting scholar of the Department of Psychology, University of Warwick, sent by the Ministry of Education.

1995 -1999: A deputy director of the Philosophy Department of Jilin University. He was the first associate dean of the School of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Jilin University.

1995-1998: The dean of the Department of Psychology, School of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Jilin University.

Since 1992: A master supervisor.

Since 1999: A PhD supervisor.


Research Interests

Theoretical Psychology, Indigenous Psychology and Cultural Psychology.
